We are looking for Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to be accountable for a portfolio of schemes cross our end to end process associated with the delivery of Yorkshire Water’s Capital Programme. This includes: <ul> <li>Procurement and contract strategy development and implementation</li> <li>Cost assurance pre and post contract</li> <li>Development and implementation of key commercial controls</li> <li>Supporting negotiations with partners, , </li> <li>Evaluating financial risks </li> <li>Contract administration in line with the NEC suite of contracts</li> <li>Process Partners Applications for Payments</li> <li>Change control assurance</li> <li>Supporting successful completion of schemes</li> <li>Providing guidance and support in aspects such as risk management and cost control.</li> <li>Liaising with Stakeholders</li> <li>Supply chain management and procurement support</li> <li>Further developing commercial behaviours that are suited to a multi-party collaborative enterprise</li> </ul> The Capital Commercial Services Team work closely with the Capital Delivery Programme Managers, Capital Delivery Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to optimise contract performance and deliver contracts within budget and on schedule. What skills & qualifications you will need: <ul> <li>Knowledge of the administration associated with construction contracts</li> <li>Ability to identify, quantify and control commercial risks</li> <li>Knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts, contract management practices, procedures and systems</li> <li>Ability to work with all stakeholders, provide guidance and support key decision commercial outcomes that benefit Capital Delivery</li> </ul> You will also benefit from having: <ul> <li>Understanding and usage of framework agreements</li> <li>Understanding working within an Alliance environment</li> <li>Knowledge associated with developing commercial processes and procedures</li> <li>Experience in supplier relationship management</li> <li>Experience or knowledge of behavioural management techniques and tools</li> <li>Strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>Experience in water / utilities (or wider infrastructure sector)</li> <li>Professional qualification, or working to a professional qualification, associated with the role</li> </ul> We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of two days in the office per week.
