<div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Summary</H2> </div><div><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Under minimal supervision, the NDT Tech II performs basic nondestructive testing to verify the structural integrity of Titanium and Aluminum Rotating Hardware, uses conventional and automated ultrasonic, radiographic, Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and other NDT test methods, e.g., FPI, and performs NDT on aircraft parts and evaluate test results by analyzing and interpreting the data in accordance with customer requirements.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><strong>This position is designated as safety-sensitive under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. </strong></span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Performing NDT Tests on various Rotating Hardware.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Undertaking training in NDT Methods to achieve Level 2 in Eddy Current, Fluorescent Penetrant, Radiographic, and Ultrasonic Testing to Specification NAS-410.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Implementing Procedures, Instruction & Techniques as required.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Performing Control Checks on Test Method capability.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Documenting and advising local team members of test outcome</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Review and implement customer requirements; such as: Engineering Drawings, Process Specifications and other industry standards. Develop and maintain processes, test methodology and procedures. Understand manufacturing methods and part construction, as it relates to the NDT data.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Operate ultrasonic equipment; such as: a-scan & resonance scopes, phased array equipment and automated scanning systems. Operate x-ray equipment; such as: robotic scanners and computed radiography data acquisition systems.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Other test equipment may include: eddy current scopes and helium mass spectrometers.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Identify and investigate new technologies, processes and/or procedures to maintain or improve NDT capabilities, efficiencies, etc.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Interface with engineers, internal & external customers, manufacturing personnel and management to improve processes. Provide guidance, leadership and instruction to other NDT technicians.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Integrate improvements to realize benefits in cost, cycle, and customer satisfaction.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Performs other assignments and tasks as directed. </span></p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Qualifications</H2> </div><div><p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Required Qualifications:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- 3+ years of experience utilizing Non-Destructive Testing in a manufacturing environment </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- This job role requires proficiency in English, both verbal and written, that is sufficient to understand and effectively follow written safety procedures, company policies, work instructions, operations manuals, and more in a manufacturing environment.</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Reliable and satisfactory attendance is an essential job function of this role and is critical in meeting operations and business needs.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Preferred Qualifications:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- GKN Experience</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Previous experience in a FAA Repair work-center</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Project / Program Management</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Experience in a classroom setting of nondestructive testing of metallic and/or nonmetallic materials training. </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Approved accumulated number of hours required on the job training and/or certification. </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Must acquire and maintain nondestructive testing certification by passing required certification written and practical examinations. </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Skills include knowledge of conventional and automated, robotic testing systems, good communications and computer skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member. </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"> </span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Mental and Physical Demands:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Manual dexterity</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Ability to stand for long periods of time</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Lift up to 50 pounds</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Withstand loud noise of a manufacturing shop environment</span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">- Good vision with or without correction-must not be color blind-NDT only</span></p> <p> </p> <div> <h2><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Compensation Range</span></h2> <p> </p> </div> <div> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The compensation range is between $28.00 - $32.00 per hour.</span></p> </div></div></div></div>
