Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Safely setup and operate full range of machine tools to manufacture production parts and components. Multi axis mills and lathes, mill-turn machines, Swiss lathes.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Maintain a clean and safe work area by following Wagner housekeeping requirements.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">File safety reports as required.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Meet daily/weekly/monthly production goals.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Follow inspection procedures and processes to guarantee the delivery of quality intolerance parts.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Adjust machines, tools, and processes to continuously produce good parts.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Enter data into an ERP system to track scheduled work, material usage, time expended, inspection data, scrap, good parts, PMs requirements, and any other department dependent KPI information.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Complete daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance on equipment. File maintenance requests for support to keep equipment in good working order.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Recognize, troubleshoot and report machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, etc</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Provide ideas and implement manufacturing improvements, using lean principles, to drive cost savings.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Works with internal and external vendors to order required items to complete assigned work.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Safely operates forklift to move materials and swarf containers as needed.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> Qualifications Education and Experience: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">High School Diploma or GED required.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">2 years of technical training in related field or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">4+ years of work experience as a high level CNC setup and operator.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Forklift certification or ability to obtain.</li> </ul> Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Safely sets up, loads programs, proves out, adjusts, maintains, and operates all assigned equipment to meet production requirements and goals.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Works well with others in every situation.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Ability to be flexible in changes to priorities.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">CAM software knowledge preferred.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Understanding of GD&T of blueprint specifications.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">G-code understanding required (EIA/ISO).</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Strong problem solving, analytical, mechanical, math and communication skills.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Ability to read, comprehend, and follow machine setup instructions.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Ability to use a variety of precision measuring equipment.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Adjust machines, tools, and processes to continuously produce good parts.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Inspect parts using a quality control plan.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Ability to use office applications (SAP, Word, Excel, and Outlook).</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Ability to work with internal and external vendors to order required items to complete assigned work</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Ability to work extended hours and/or varying shifts as requested to maintain adequate coverage during hours of operation.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Ability and willingness to teach other employees new processes and techniques.</li> <li style="font-size:18.0pt">Basic understanding of Lean and Kaizen methods and practices.</li> </ul> Wagner is dedicated to the ongoing journey of equity, diversity and inclusion.
