Encourage and help drive culture of continuous improvement throughout assigned portion (s) of value stream.</span></p> <p><span style="">Continuously develops and improves processes and manufacturing technologies in the CNC and machining area. Collaborates interdepartmentally in the development of new products to achieve a cost-effecting, design for manufacturability orientated solutions. Leads and develops employees to achieve department goals. Considers and improves the safety of personnel, equipment, and facilities.</span></p> <p><span style=""><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Oversees and directs the daily business regarding time, cost, and quality within CNC-Manufacturing</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Provides guidance, mentoring and leadership to new and existing staff within the department of CNC-Manufacturing. Provides regular feedback verbally or in written form.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Confidentially handles usual, unusual, or difficult inquiries or situations, or may direct to the appropriate individual as needed. Interview candidates, recommend candidate selection, complete performance reviews, and address performance improvement issues as required.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Accountable for the compliance with all safety rules and regulations and prompt corrective action concerning safety hazards. Coach team to identify hazards and partner with cross-functional team to remove hazards and maintain compliance. Model safe behaviors.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Maintains the highest levels of product conformance to specifications by assuring standard work is followed and equipment is operating per specifications. Supports cross-functional team efforts to assess performance and implement corrective actions as needed.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Facilitates and supports daily Tier process to drive assigned areas to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Responsible for operational processing of the assigned goods, from order receipt to dispatch. Planning and control of production orders, considering capacity utilization, deadlines, and processing time</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Responsible for the stock levels and master data of the assigned goods, as well as starting and editing FIS workflows in SAP</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Recommends and procures various operating resources, consumables, services, equipment, tools and fixturing from outside vendors.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Develops, implements, and tracks metrics and KPI’s for the CNC manufacturing department to align and support company strategic directions.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ensures Vertical Integration efforts locally, while collaborating interdepartmentally with design, procurement, and manufacturing engineering groups.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Actively supports Wagner continuous improvement efforts, develop SOP for department, research and bring best industry practices. Deeply engaged in kaizen &amp; 6S, problem solving methodologies, and daily improvements.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Supports automation initiatives within the CNC manufacturing departments.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Participates in NPD project from initiation to provide DFM expertise and drive solutions oriented towards design for cost-effective production.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Performs other duties as assigned.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style=""><strong>Relationship To Others:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Provide direct supervision and work direction for 5-10 employees.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Responsibility for the daily output of the Manufacturing department</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Collaboration with quality, planning, procurement, and maintenance departments to fulfill production schedule. </span></li> </ul> <p><span style=""><strong>Education and Experience</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or CNC manufacturing/tool making degree or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">10+ years of progressive work experience within a CNC manufacturing environment.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">3+ years of supervision leading a CNC environment.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Strong working knowledge of CNC Manufacturing Technology, tooling, programming, 6S, and continuous improvement.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style=""><strong>Skills/Abilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Experience leading CNC manufacturing teams.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Knowledge in SAP/ERP</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Professional experience in CNC manufacturing and automation.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Experience in new product development and design for manufacturing.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">MS Office, SAP, CAD/CAM experience.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Experience in costing, quoting, and sourcing.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Strong programming, problem solving, analytical, mathematical, mechanical and communication skills.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Leadership and organizational skills. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree with minimal time spent sitting for extended periods of computer work and phone usage.
