What you will do Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Regulatory & Financial Risk practice in Southeast Asia. We provide risk transformation, data and modeling solutions focusing on some of the unique and complex issues our clients are facing. We advise our clients on how to optimize compliance programs, standardize processes and transform compliance to protect their value across the business, while building great visibility, efficiency and confidence for the future. You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization. The nature of the work we do includes: <ul> <li>Lead client engagements by serving as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, understanding business objectives, providing expert advisory on complex financial risk management and regulatory compliance, and delivering high-impact presentations and executive briefings to senior stakeholders.</li> <li>Oversee the design, development, and implementation of customized solutions, aligning with client requirements and regulatory frameworks.</li> <li>Act as a subject matter expert on advanced risk management methodologies, technologies, and regulatory standards (e.g. Basel, IFRS9, Liquidity, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Banking Regulations, etc), driving strategic enhancements in quantitative risk models to ensure alignment with industry practices and regulatory expectations.</li> <li>Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project scope, deliverables, and timelines.</li> <li>Take ownership of the full project lifecycle, from planning to execution and successful delivery.</li> <li>Mentor and coach senior consultants, fostering leadership development, technical excellence, and career progression.</li> <li>Lead business development activities, including proposal writing, client pitches, and market expansion initiatives.</li> </ul> You will be expected to communicate closely with senior management and client personnel; assist in proposal development; mentor and develop junior team members; and maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial risk management methodologies, current corporate governance and regulatory developments/requirements, both locally and internationally Your role as a leader: At Deloitte, we believe in the importance of everyday to identify issues that are most important to our clients, our people and the communities, and to make an impact that matters. Maximizes results and drives high performance from people while fostering collaboration across businesses and geographies.</li> <li>Develop high-performing teams through challenging and meaningful opportunities and recognize them for the impact that they make.</li> </ul> You are someone with: <ul> <li>Possesses a degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, Accountancy, Risk Management, or a related field.</li> <li>Professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) are strongly preferred.</li> <li>Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in banking, financial services, or consultancy, with substantial experience in financial risk management.</li> <li>Demonstrates deep expertise in multiple risk domains, including Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Liquidity, and/or Climate Risk, as well as relevant regulations.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with data analytics and statistical tools such as Python and SAS, with advanced Excel skills preferred.</li> <li>Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.</li> <li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with high attention to detail and meticulous work habits.</li> <li>Ability to work efficiently against demanding timelines while maintaining high-quality results.</li> <li>Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse, multitasking, cross-country environments.</li> <li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and adaptability abilities.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.</li> <li>A high-performing, coachable team player who prioritizes continuous development, puts clients first, and exemplifies a values-driven mindset.</li> </ul> Due to volume of applications, we regret only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
