<p><strong>Location: Czech Republic (Prague) </strong></p> <p><strong>Work model: Hybrid (3 days/week in the office, up to 2 days home office possible)</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Platform team and take ownership of our cloud architecture, automation, and deployment pipelines. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments while enabling engineering teams to ship faster and more reliably.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your main responsibilities</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.</li> <li>Write and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring environments are reproducible, version-controlled, and well-documented.</li> <li>Own and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines, working closely with development teams to streamline build, test, and deployment workflows.</li> <li>Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives and establish best practices across the organization.</li> <li>Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.</li> <li>Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and security gaps.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Your profile</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related infrastructure role.</li> <li>Deep hands-on expertise in AWS – including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, and Lambda.</li> <li>Proficiency in Terraform, including module design, state management, and environment promotion.</li> <li>Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.</li> <li>Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.</li> <li>Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.</li> <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex problems.</li> <li>Willingness to take on on-call duties (approx. one week per month)</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Nice to have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with AWS security tooling: GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS Config.</li> <li>Knowledge of observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.</li> <li>AWS Solutions Architect or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification.</li> <li>Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations setups.</li> <li>Knowledge of Azure.</li> </ul>
