We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC</span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">The <strong>2nd Shift Manual Machinis</strong>t will set up and operate manual machines,preferably <em>lathe machines</em>, to perform machining </span><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">operations by performing the following duties.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><em><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">The hours for this role are: 2:00 pm-10:30 pm, Monday - Friday.</span></em></span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Responsibilities:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Read, process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, </span><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Identify, select and install proper tooling for operations being performed.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Calculate proper feeds and speeds for a variety of steel grades, copper, brass, aluminum and bronze</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Intuitively understand capabilities of tooling and machinery.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduced setup times and improve productivity.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Employee must be able to set up all necessary measuring equipment and routinely check the </span><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">calibration of the equipment while measuring.</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Minimum required qualifications:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Prior experience with precision inspection equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, </span><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">calipers, height gauges, bore gauges</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or </span><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Prior experience with precision inspection equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, </span><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">calipers, height gauges, bore gauges</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances of less than .001” </span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">The ideal candidate possesses the following experience, skills, and abilities:</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">The employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear </span></li> <li><span style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Occasionally required to walk;
