You will work with the team on the development of teaching resources and the delivery of outreach activities for local schools using the Library’s information resources and materials from Special Collections and Archives. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">You should be able to work effectively on your own, and also be a good team player. This role provides opportunities to liaise with a wide range of contacts, including library colleagues, staff and students across the university, researchers, teachers and members of the public, and so excellent communication skills are vital.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">This role is a permanent full-time position. Hours of work are 37 hours per week. helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To assist the Library’s Education Outreach and Transition team with school visits to the library, including giving library tours and delivering study skills sessions to sixth form students</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To support the Library’s Education Outreach and Transition team in the planning, delivery and evaluation of outreach projects and workshops with local schools</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To identify (and, where appropriate, arrange the digitisation of) suitable materials from Special Collections and Archives for potential use in Education Outreach projects, workshops and resources on curriculum topics specified by the Library’s Education Outreach and Transition team</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To keep the Library’s Education Outreach and Transition webpages up to date, including creating new web resources and online exhibitions with the support of the Library’s Education Outreach and Transition team and Digital Library Services</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To promote the activities of the Library’s Education Outreach and Transition team by creating content for and managing the Education Outreach team’s newsletter and any other promotional work as well as sourcing promotional merchandise</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To support the Library’s Education Outreach and Transition team in the administration of school visits, including taking bookings, processing sixth form access application forms, collating feedback</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To collate data on the team’s activities, providing regular reports on these, as required, to style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">To be responsible for ongoing self-development including keeping up to date with best practice</span></li> <li
