About this role
<p><strong>WHAT YOU DO</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assume full end-to-end responsibility for the site's entire supply chain from raw material receipt through to the final dispatch of finished products.</li> <li>Lead and motivate a team across a three-shift structure to drive continuous operational excellence within a high-speed automated warehouse environment.</li> <li>Maintain accuracy in the booking in process for incoming materials while ensuring strict alignment between physical stock levels and the Warehouse Management System.</li> <li>Coordinate efficiently with suppliers and the planning department to schedule deliveries and manage bay capacity.</li> <li>Directly manage the Automated High Bay operation with a focus on maximising system uptime, efficient pallet flow, and upholding strict health and safety protocols.</li> <li>Oversee the goods out function and take complete charge of yard management to guarantee that all finished products are dispatched on time and in full.</li> <li>Guarantee full compliance with environmental regulations by managing all on-site waste processes and driving lean initiatives to reduce packaging.</li> </ul> <p><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Possess a minimum of three to five years of demonstrable experience in logistics management within a high-volume distribution centre or manufacturing setting.</li> <li>Bring expert technical knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, specifically SAP, and Warehouse Control Systems to optimise flow and storage density.</li> <li>Offer direct experience managing Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, which is essential for our high-bay warehouse environment.</li> <li>Demonstrate exceptional people management capabilities with a proven track record of leading diverse teams across rotating shifts.</li> <li>Hold a minimum of an ILM Level 2 Qualification in Leadership and Team Skills or equivalent.</li> <li>Understand health and safety legislation thoroughly, ideally backed by an IOSH Managing Safely accreditation or equivalent.</li> <li>Exhibit strong crisis management skills to remain calm under pressure and instantly execute manual contingency plans.</li> </ul> <p><strong>OUR OFFER</strong></p> <ul> <li>33 days annual leave per year inclusive of Bank Holidays</li> <li>Healthcare Cash Plan after qualifying period</li> <li>Life Assurance Cover of 3 times basic salary</li> <li>Contributory Pension Scheme</li> <li>Employee Assistance Programs with access to savings & discounts</li> <li>24/7 helpline and much more</li> <li>Contract type: 1st June 2026 - permanent</li> <li>Working time: 39 hours per week // 8 hours shifts // Mo - Fr // 6:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00</li> <li>Competitive salary plus shift allowance.</li> </ul><p><strong>WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?</strong></p> <p>Simply apply directly online to MEG Derby via <a href="https://jobs.schwarz-produktion.com/">jobs.schwarz-produktion.com</a>.</p> <div id="clearer"></div> <div id="interferer"></div> <div> </div>
