How You’ll Make an Impact As a member of the Chemical Operator Development Program, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation while you collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. In This Role, You Will: <ul style="list-style-type:disc" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform rounds & field quality testing to check process equipment, product quality, and monitor process conditions and control systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform tasks assigned to operations.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Use basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve process deviation and upset conditions.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform simple problem solving and participate in improving daily work.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Follow the standard work processes and practices as outlined by the site and/or unit.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Understand and deliver what is expected of operators when an unplanned event occurs that will trigger a root cause investigation.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Participate in root cause investigations as requested.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Train new unit operating personnel and share operating knowledge for their development.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure operations performance within their assigned responsibility align with plant and business goals.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Make improvements in unit operating discipline and performance based on personal knowledge and skills.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Monitor key unit metrics to ensure plant performance remains on track to achieve unit and business goals.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Accurately and completely record asset utilization losses.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Develop the skills and competencies required to perform operator care for the plant activities.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Utilize the appropriate operating discipline and safe work practices required when performing operator care for the plant activities</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Follow the Procedure Use Policy of the unit and/or site.</li> </ul> Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success <ul style="list-style-type:disc" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to follow all safety and environmental standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions and procedures.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Demonstrates initiative and ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and operation of control systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Mechanical aptitude for understanding and working with processing equipment. </li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward <ul style="list-style-type:disc" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with SAP and/or Delta V.</li> </ul> Your Work Environment At Lubrizol, we’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where you can do your best work—whether in a lab, on the production floor, or in a hybrid office setting.
