You’ll be accountable for the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs while providing expert engineering leadership across the plant. In this role, you will:</span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Provide day‑to‑day process safety support for assigned operating units.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Facilitate PHA revalidations, Capital Project PHAs, and LOPA studies, including preparation for and completion of PHA management reviews and final reports.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Participate in and lead incident investigations as needed; support classification of process safety incidents.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Review and support Management of Change (MOC) requests, including determining when PHAs are required; participate in PSSRs.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Manage PSM action item tracking, including database entry, follow‑up, and facilitation of timely closure.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Provide guidance on ALARP determinations and Independent Protection Layer (IPL) identification.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Support site PSM KPIs, update Reactivity Matrices, and contribute to PSM Manual updates and revisions.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Support compliance with the ASV program, including gap assessments and development of compliance plans.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Manage and drive execution of strategic site PSM initiatives, serving as the primary PSM point of contact.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Provide regulatory compliance guidance for PSM/RMP programs and advise managers, supervisors, engineers, and contractor safety representatives.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Participate in site and corporate process safety initiatives, supporting standardization of Lubrizol PSM/RMP work processes.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Perform gap analyses to align site practices with corporate standards and industry best practices.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Support and lead PSM audits at the site and regional level as required.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Develop and deliver Process Safety training programs for site personnel.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">8+ years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environment with direct PSM responsibility.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Hands‑on experience in hazard identification and risk analysis, including PHAs and LOPA.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Experience supporting or leading PSM/RMP regulatory compliance programs.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Experience with facility siting studies and relief sizing.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Prior PHA / LOPA facilitation experience.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Strong working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and RAGAGEP, including ASME, API, NFPA, ANSI, IEC, and similar.Experience with process safety software tools such as PHA‑Pro, PHA‑Works, </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">PHAST, or similar.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent, influencing decisions and driving continuous improvement across organizations.</span></li> </ul> <p style=""> </p> <p><span style=""><strong>Your Work Environment</strong></span></p> <p><span style="">At Lubrizol, we’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering work environment where you can deliver meaningful impact.
