You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. In this role, you will: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Work closely with the Maintenance Technologist so that the jobs have both technical and field experience during troubleshooting, procedures, repair plans, etc.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluate whether equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">For equipment that is critical for the process, you'll ensure that work requests include engineering input on repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Provide onsite/offsite technical support for deviations from this data if necessary.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Ensure repairs, repair techniques, and equipment-specific training are made available and documented.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Provide technical support for specification, identification, and purchasing of required parts.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Provide maintainability input into Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Support the PPM coordinator as required in reviewing spare parts list for existing equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Support Operations in the development of operating procedures (i.e. proper steps for starting / stopping a pump, etc.).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Review operations logbook for any unusual activity that they may need to support.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Participate with Reliability Engineer in developing facility and equipment maintenance strategies.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">As required, provide engineering input to the Planners job plans and job packages to ensure standards are followed.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Receive and review History Feedback form Crafts when unusual findings are noted.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Serve as a technical resource to the planner and crafts as needed.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">During development of turnaround work, provides input on development of work orders particularly on critical equipment requiring Engineering review or input.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Write and support the development of maintenance procedures.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Work with the Maintenance Technologist on following jobs internally and externally to ensure quality repairs.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Support the Maintenance Technologist in training Crafts, Operations, etc.</li> </ul> Required Qualifications that Enables Your Success <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">3+ years of Maintenance Engineering experience in a chemical processing/manufacturing environment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Experience with SAP within the Maintenance Department. </li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications that Drives you Forward <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt">Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.</li> </ul> Your Work Environment At Lubrizol, we’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where you can do your best work—whether in a lab, on the production floor, or in a hybrid office setting.
