External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. $5000 Sign On Bonus if Hired Your Role: In this role your tasks will include, but are not limited to: <ul> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Produce and purify chemical compounds to meet the requirements of MilliporeSigma customers</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Basic operation of vessels, tanks, dryers, and other related equipment</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Perform in-process analytical testing including workups and simple interpretations as described in the Master Production Record</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Performs distillations, filtrations, and extractions to isolate and purify product</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Follow and support all safety and quality procedures and systems</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">3rd Shift 10:00pm – 6:30am, Sunday – Thursday</li> </ul> Physical Attributes: <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Work in occasional wet, humid abnormally hot or cold environment</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Work with and in proximity of hazardous chemicals</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and adjust focus</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Work near moving mechanical parts</li> </ul> Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications: <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">High School Diploma or GED</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Associate's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other science discipline</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Prior industrial work experience and/or chemical handling</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Strong mechanical proficiency and mathematical skills</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Read and understand written protocols</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Understand chemical reactions and hazards</li> <li style="font-family:verdana, geneva, sans-serif">Understand ISO and quality systems</li> </ul> Pay Range for this position: $21/hr - $39/hr The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
