We are seeking a mid-level Software Developer who can effectively manage the following job responsibilities: <ul> <li>Develop and maintain web and/or desktop applications, primarily using a Microsoft technology stack.</li> <li>Lead and collaborate on efforts to analyze and understand complex requirements.</li> <li>Work effectively as part of a team and independently.</li> <li>Build productive working relationships with individuals and organizations.</li> <li>Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Exercise creative and analytical thinking with diverse and multidisciplinary groups.</li> </ul> Basic Qualifications: <ul> <li>BS degree in computer programming or related field and at least seven years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li>Experience with full-stack development.</li> <li>In-depth understanding of software development and the ability to write performant, maintainable code, primarily in the OOP paradigm.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Proficiency with application lifecycle management tools (preferably Git and Azure DevOps).</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: Experience with: <ul> <li>C# (strongly preferred)</li> <li>Front end web application frameworks, preferably React and/or BLazor (strongly preferred)</li> <li>SQL Server and T-SQL (strongly preferred)</li> <li>Web Services</li> <li>Windows desktop and mobile application development</li> <li>AI coding assistants and plug-ins</li> <li>Incorporating LLMs in custom software solutions</li> <li>Custom software-to-device communications</li> <li>Cloud-based infrastructure (particularly with Microsoft Azure)</li> <li>Power BI</li> <li>Agile methodology practices</li> </ul> Special Requirements: <ul> <li>This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy. As such, this position is a Workplace Substance Abuse Policy (WSAP) testing designated position. WSAP positions require passing a pre-placement drug test and participation in an ongoing random drug testing program.</li> </ul> This is a hybrid position, with employees expected to be onsite as needed. This position is not eligible for remote work.
