Promote equal opportunity by fostering a respectful workplace – in how we treat one another, work together, and measure success.</li> </ul> Basic Qualifications: <ul> <li>AS degree and 7 years of relevant experience in radiological protection or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered (HS diploma and 9 years of related experience).</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Currently qualified as a DOE Senior Radiological Control Technician.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Qualified as an ANSI/ANS 3.1-1987 Senior RCT.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Active registration with the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists (NRRPT).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Broad experience in operational radiation protection at a DOE National Laboratory.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative teams across the laboratory.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Ability to function well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs.</li> </ul> Special Requirements: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt;color:black">Q clearance: This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance from the Department of Energy. As such, this position is a Workplace Substance Abuse (WSAP) testing designated position.
