Position Details: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Starting hourly rate is $45.00</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This role requires availability for overtime and on-call support based on plant demands.</li> </ul> What You’ll Be Doing: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Perform all duties safely, demonstrate safety leadership, promote a zero-incident culture, and comply with government and corporate safety requirements.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Maintain electrical equipment, PLC/HMI systems, power distribution, and related services within areas of expertise.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Safely operate plant equipment, including forklifts, aerial work platforms, and skid steers.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdown calls, including troubleshooting as required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Follow established work order processes, coordinate with vendors, order supplies, and maintain accurate records.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Maintain work areas and the electrical warehouse in a safe and organized condition.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Provide on-the-job training and guidance to apprentices.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Take ownership of facility performance with strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Work independently with minimal supervision.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Perform other duties as required.</li> </ul> Skills/Experience Requirements: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Graduate of a recognized electrical program with a valid Interprovincial Journeyman certification.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Graduate of, or at minimum a third-year apprentice in, an instrumentation program.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Strong experience with instrumentation installation and troubleshooting is an asset.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills, with strong teamwork orientation.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Availability for on-call and emergency call-ins, including nights and weekends.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation, control equipment, and emissions monitoring systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to install and calibrate process control instrumentation, including transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, management, vendors, and contractors.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to lead electrical contractors as required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to read and update electrical blueprints.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC software (e.g., RSView).</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">SAP experience is an asset.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to work at heights or on elevated platforms.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Unrestricted cross-border mobility.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black">Ability to participate in on-call rotation as required.</li> </ul> Commitment to supplying safe food, maintaining a strong food safety culture, continuously improving the site’s food safety management system, and complying with customer and regulatory requirements is essential.
