Using strong engineering principles and living the Bunge Core Values, you’ll ensure the facility remains safe, competitive, and continuously improving. What You’ll Be Doing: <ul> <li style="">Champion a strong safety culture by modeling safe work habits and ensuring employees and contractors follow safety standards.</li> <li style="">Lead and manage the facility’s Process Safety Management (PSM) program, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal Bunge requirements.</li> <li style="">Drive efficiency initiatives with a strong focus on reducing costs without sacrificing safety.</li> <li style="">Partner with facility teams to plan and implement projects aimed at improving Productivity, Quality, Safety, and Environment (PQSE) performance.</li> <li style="">Support the prioritization and optimization of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).</li> <li style="">Identify Lean Sigma opportunities and assist with implementation efforts.</li> <li style="">Implement and oversee process optimization activities.</li> <li style="">Provide technical support on topics such as dry material handling, air flow, heat exchange, power systems, PLCs, steam systems, and liquid handling/storage.</li> <li style="">Collaborate with plant leadership to define technical needs, develop CapEx requirements, evaluate project proposals, and support CapEx presentations.</li> <li style="">Assist with engineering tasks including drawing reviews, equipment specifications, operational narratives, training, commissioning, and start-up activities.</li> <li style="">Identify, promote, and help implement best practices across operations; support troubleshooting of operational challenges.</li> <li style="">Support vendor assessments, OEM equipment evaluations, and contractor/engineering firm reviews.</li> <li style="">Ensure facility projects align with all Federal and State environmental regulations.</li> <li style="">Make decisions with strong cost and quality considerations.</li> <li style="">Collaborate cross-functionally with safety, engineering, environmental, commercial, accounting, legal, QA/QC, procurement, and other teams.</li> <li style="">Regularly review production data to ensure accuracy and identify continuous improvement opportunities.</li> <li style="">Support Regional Continuous Improvement initiatives.</li> </ul> Skills & Experience Required <ul> <li style="">Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Agricultural, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering—or equivalent experience.</li> <li style="">1–2 years of experience in plant operations, maintenance, and safety.</li> <li style="">Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.</li> <li style="">Knowledge of industry design codes and regulations, including NFPA 36, NFPA 61, OSHA, and EPA requirements (preferred).</li> <li style="">Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem‑solving skills.</li> <li style="">Effective organization and planning abilities.</li> <li style="">Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li style="">Collaborative team mindset.</li> <li style="">Experience managing projects under $1M, with successful on-time, on-budget, and safety-compliant outcomes.</li> <li style="">Able to work with direction and oversight while demonstrating initiative.</li> <li style="">Ability to evaluate operational gaps and recommend solutions with support from cross-functional partners.</li> </ul> Bunge offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays.
