<li>Oversee our ESD portfolio – track financial and impact metrics through quarterly reviews</li> <li>Evaluate SMME investment opportunities in line with our investment mandate</li> <li>Develop and implement investment criteria as our ESD vehicle grows</li> <li>Administer grant programs that align with B-BBEE requirements and our strategic goals</li> <li>Identify new mechanisms and partnerships that grow our ESD impact</li> <li>Keep all investment and grant documentation audit-ready</li> <li>Ensure full compliance with B-BBEE scorecard requirements and ESD regulations</li> <li>Schedule compliance checks and internal audits at least twice a year</li> </ul> <div><strong>Strategic Investments</strong></div> <ul> <li>Build financial models – forecast income statements, balance sheets and cash flows across sectors (FinTech, banking, insurance, SMMEs and beyond)</li> <li>Apply the right valuation methodology to each investment decision</li> <li>Value businesses we want to buy or sell, and support negotiations with a clear, defensible number</li> <li>Monitor and report on strategic investment performance – deliver a real-time portfolio dashboard</li> <li>Provide recommendations to senior management on portfolio adjustments and strategic direction</li> <li>Develop scenario analyses that support faster, smarter decisions</li> <li>Use data to spot trends and recommend portfolio changes</li> </ul> <div><strong>Stakeholder Engagement</strong></div> <ul> <li>Build and maintain strong relationships with incubators, accelerators and industry bodies in the SMME <li>5–10 years of experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, enterprise development, or related fields.</li> <li>Proven track record in evaluating investment opportunities and managing portfolios.</li> <li>Experience working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building to achieve objectives. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Ideal:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Exposure to managing investment portfolios, impact investing SME development or B-BBEE-compliant vehicles.</li> <li>Evaluating and executing investments in
