Here’s an opportunity to do just that<br><br></strong></p> <p>As a Power Technician Secondary, you will conduct a variety of diagnostic testing, calibration and reporting to both internal and external clients in relation to wholesale energy metering installations.</p> <p> </p> <p>The position reports to the Team Leader, Field Services and has a substantive base location at Yarraville, Victoria.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: <br><br></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Conduct on-site diagnostic testing & calibration, on a wide variety of energy metering and measurement equipment within High Voltage environments</li> <li>Ensuring all necessary primary and secondary isolations are carried out correctly to ensure safe access to metering equipment</li> <li>Installation of permanent and portable metering equipment, ensuring it complies to Victorian Service installation rules and various Australian standards</li> <li>Assist in the preparation of technical reports (to the various accreditation levels as required)</li> <li>Assist in planning daily workload of the Energy Metering group to ensure that equipment and personnel are appropriately utilised to maximise throughput & equipment turnaround times</li> <li>Conduct Audits and Inspections of High Voltage metering installations</li> <li>Complete Electrical Safety Certificates for metering installation work</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:</strong><br><br></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Advance Diploma of ESI </li> <li>Relevant knowledge relating to transmission and/or distribution network compliance testing methodologies</li> <li>Relevant qualifications and/or applied experience in field of metering services or secondary systems</li> <li>Current Victorian driver’s licence</li> <li>Experienced in testing and inspecting secondary electrical assets, current transformers, voltage transformers, secondary equipment (advantageous)</li> <li>Testing and commissioning of new metering assets systems</li> <li>Understanding of Victorian Installation Rules</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Special Role requirements:<br><br></strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Travel to various power stations and sub-stations throughout Victoria</li> <li>Occasional interstate and international travel may be required<br><br></li> </ul> <p><strong>The AusNet experience is all about… </strong></p> <p> </p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li><strong>Solving some of the most complex energy challenges of our time</strong>: We love unpacking complex challenges in clever ways and looking at things differently.</li> <li><strong>When life happens, knowing we’ve got your back</strong>: Whether it's life's big moments or the unexpected little ones, we get it - sometimes you just need to be there.</li> <li><strong>Being part of a team that cares deeply about each other: </strong>We share in the good times.
