It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align:justify"><span style=""><span style="">Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency. </span></span></p><p><span style=""><strong><span style="">MECHANICAL ENGINEER M/F</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style=""><strong><span style="">Description:</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="">The role is responsible for supporting the operational reliability of plant assets by leading root cause analyses, implementing corrective and improvement actions, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, it contributes to maintaining plant availability, reducing failure rates, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable operations at the plant.</span></p> <p><span style="">This position reports to: Engineering Manager.</span></p> <p><span style="">Location: Centenario Ratones Project, Salta, Argentina.</span></p> <p><span style=""><strong><span style="">Responsibilities:</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="">- Conduct root cause analyses (RCA) of recurring failures in the plant and define corrective actions.</span><br><span style="">- Support the Rapid Problem Resolution Task Force and Correction and Improvement initiatives.</span><br><span style="">- Develop and implement engineering solutions to improve asset reliability and performance.</span><br><span style="">- Ensure proper execution and follow-up of Management of Change (MOC) processes.</span><br><span style="">- Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams.</span><br><span style="">- Monitor equipment performance and identify optimization opportunities.</span><br><span style="">- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.</span><br><span style="">- Support contractor management from a technical supervision perspective.</span><br><span style="">- Contribute to establishing a counter-roster model for continuous technical coverage.</span><br><span style="">- Prepare technical reports and track key performance indicators.</span></p> <p><span style=""><strong><span style="">Your Profile:</span></strong></span></p> <p><span style="">- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.</span><br><span style="">- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.</span><br><span style="">- Experience in root cause analysis methodologies (RCA, FMEA, etc.).</span><br><span style="">- Knowledge of maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, corrective).</span><br><span style="">- Understanding of MOC processes and industrial safety standards.</span><br><span style="">- Experience in industrial or mining environments (preferred).</span><br><span style="">- Experience in plant operations or maintenance engineering roles.</span><br><span style="">- Analytical mindset and problem-solving orientation.</span><br><span style="">- Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic environments.</span><br><span style="">- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.</span><br><span style="">- Results-oriented with a focus on operational impact.</span></p><p style="text-align:justify"><span style=""><span style=""><em>With operations on five continents and employees from more than 70 different countries, Eramet is an inherently diverse group. <br>We are convinced that this diversity of talents and skills is an asset and we are actively engaged in recruiting the talented people who will be crucial to our success in the future, regardless of their gender, disability, age, social or cultural origin, sexual orientation and beliefs.<br>We are committed to offering all employees the support and development opportunities they need throughout their careers.</em></span></span></p>
