About the role The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, planning, coordination, implementation, execution and management of one-to-many medium projects, several large projects, and/or complex projects according to pre-determined scope, schedule and budgets. Senior Project Managers will also provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced Project Managers / Project Coordinators. It is expected that the majority of time (70%) may be in customer facing activities. This role will be focused on the project management activities in the early phases (pre-sales and early post-sales) in large scale engagements. The role will also contribute to Project Management Office strategy planning, including the development and implementation of standards jointly with the standards assurance team. Experience with, and a strong understanding of, the underpinnings of scalable PMO methodologies is a requirement. The strategic services transition Sr. PM may also facilitate project forensics to identify, and problem solve systemic issues on existing strategic accounts. Annual compensation: $150K - $170K USD What you'll be doing <ul> <li style="color:black">Partners with customers and internal business leaders, including sales, delivery practices, PMO standards assurance, and others to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.</li> <li style="color:black">Partners with, and in some cases leads, the internal teams to contribute to the PMO knowledge base of tools, processes and standards</li> <li style="color:black">Facilitates the investigation, analysis, and remediation of issues and risks in strategic accounts</li> <li style="color:black">Lead the planning and implementation of project(s) throughout the project lifecycle, initiation through closure.</li> <li style="color:black">Oversee the review of project scope, goals and deliverables both internally and externally.</li> <li style="color:black">Oversee and develop a project task list (tracker), risk/issue/action, project contacts and a full-scale project plan as required within Computacenter United States Inc’s approved applications and systems.</li> <li style="color:black">Assemble and coordinate project resources both internally, externally and with 3rd parties.</li> <li style="color:black">Manage project budget, resource allocation, project plan, project trackers and project timelines as required.</li> <li style="color:black">Track and advise on project deliverables and tasks using appropriate applications, systems, and/or tools.</li> <li style="color:black">Own and resolve any issues that arise during the project and drive risk mitigation.</li> <li style="color:black">Drive team accountability for project results of staying on-budget, on-schedule, and maintain client satisfaction.</li> <li style="color:black">Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to project scope, tasks, deliverables, goals, resources, schedules and budgets.</li> <li style="color:black">Communicate expectations to stakeholders and team, gaining acceptance and accomplishing customers business objectives.</li> <li style="color:black">Identify resources required to fulfill project delivery, collaborating with other Project Managers, the resource management group and other groups as required to determine which project resources are available in order to schedule project workload and make assignments.</li> <li style="color:black">The Senior PM should work with the resource management group to explore ways to drive efficiencies on third party project delivery.</li> <li style="color:black">Oversee all products and corresponding issues (software licensing, shipment logistics, DOA's, late or changed shipment dates) are coordinated with customer and Computacenter United States Inc Sales and Engineering teams.</li> <li style="color:black">Provide status reporting throughout the project to internal and external stakeholders on progress against project schedule, and any issues and their accompanying mitigations.</li> <li style="color:black">Quickly escalate to next level of management and/or senior management any project related issues/risks that will impact the project negatively.</li> <li style="color:black">Ensure all project team timecards, expense reports, status reports, issue documentation, project tracker(s), project plan(s) and project documentation are entered and/or updated into the Computacenter United States Inc applications & systems in a timely fashion, verifying accuracy and completeness.</li> <li style="color:black">Obtain client sign-off on the Project Completion Form.</li> <li style="color:black">Perform invoicing and project closure functions including sending and following up on Customer Satisfaction Survey’s.</li> <li style="color:black">Senior PM’s will be called upon to mentor those around them in aspects of leadership, methodology, tools, people skills, and navigating difficult customer environments.</li> <li style="color:black">Senior PM’s will be called upon to conduct mid project checks as well, as after-action meetings for continual improvement.</li> <li style="color:black">Senior PM’s will be expected to have the ability to turn around any sized project that may not be performing up to Computacenter United States Inc’s high-quality expectations.</li> style="color:black">Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in Project Management within the IT industry.</li> <li style="color:black">Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.</li> <li style="color:black">Smartsheet proficiency is a plus.</li> <li style="color:black">PMP and/or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.</li> <li style="color:black">Legally eligible to work in the United States.</li> <li style="color:black">Expert knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.</li> <li style="color:black">Expert knowledge of project management techniques and tools.</li> <li style="color:black">Direct work experience in project management capacity.</li> <li style="color:black">Proven ability to motivate and build strong teams.</li> <li style="color:black">Experience coaching and mentoring.</li> <li style="color:black">Excellent customer interfacing skills.</li> <li style="color:black">Strong communication skills, both written and
