<p><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p>The Project Manager 2 is responsible for the overall direction, planning, coordination, implementation, execution and management of one to many medium projects, several large projects, and/or complex projects according to pre-determined scope, schedule and budgets. The Project Manager 2 will also provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced Project Managers / Project Coordinators. It is expected that the majority of time (70%) will be in customer facing activities.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Houston, TX | Saline, MI | Memphis, TN </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Lead the planning and implementation of project(s) throughout the project lifecycle, initiation through closure</li> <li>Oversee the review of project scope, goals and deliverables both internally and externally</li> <li>Oversee and Develop a project task list (tracker), risk/issue/action, project contacts and a full scale project plan as required within Computacenter United States Inc.’s approved applications and systems</li> <li>Assemble and coordinate project resources both internally, externally and with 3rd parties</li> <li>Manage project budget, resource allocation, project plan, project trackers and project timelines as required</li> <li>Track and advise on project deliverables and tasks using appropriate applications, systems, and/or tools</li> <li>Own and resolve any issues that arise during the project and drive risk mitigation</li> <li>Drive team accountability for project results of staying on-budget, on-schedule, and maintain client satisfaction</li> <li>Communicate with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to project scope, tasks, deliverables, goals, resources, schedules and budgets</li> <li>Communicate expectations to stakeholders and team, gaining acceptance and accomplishing customers business objectives</li> <li>Identify resources required to fulfill project delivery, collaborating with other Project Managers, the Resource</li> <li>Management Group and other groups as required to determine which project resources are available in order to schedule project workload and make assignments</li> <li>The PM2 should work with the Resource Management Group to explore ways to drive efficiencies on third party project delivery</li> <li>Oversee all products and corresponding issues (software licensing, shipment logistics, DOA's, late or changed shipment dates) are coordinated with customer and Computacenter United States Inc. Sales and Engineering teams</li> <li>Provide status reporting throughout the project to internal and external stakeholders on progress against project schedule, and any issues and their accompanying mitigations.</li> <li>Quickly escalate to next level of management and/or senior management any project related issues/risks that will impact the project negatively</li> <li>Ensure all project team timecards, expense reports, status reports, issue documentation, project tracker(s), project plan(s) and project documentation are entered and/or updated into the Computacenter United States Inc. applications & systems in a timely fashion, verifying accuracy and completeness</li> <li>Obtain client sign-off on the Project Completion Form</li> <li>Perform invoicing and project closure functions including sending and following up on Customer Satisfaction Survey’s</li> <li>PM2’s will be called upon to mentor those around them in aspects of leadership, methodology, tools, people skills, and navigating difficult customer environments</li> <li>PM2’s will be called upon to conduct mid project health checks as well as after action meetings for continual improvement.</li> <li>PM2’s will be expected to have the ability to turn around any sized project that may not be performing up to Computacenter United States Inc.’s high quality expectations</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What you have</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>7-10 years’ experience in Project Management within the IT industry</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project</li> <li>Excellent customer interfacing skills</li> <li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li> <li>Proven experience in effective meeting facilitation</li> <li>Proficient in project management software</li> <li>Legal authorization to work in the United States.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Bonus points</strong></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Bachelor’s degree preferred</li> <li>PMP certification is a plus</li> <li>Experience with Salesforce is a plus</li> </ul><p> </p> <p><strong>What you can expect</strong></p> <p>There’s so much more to enjoy about being at Computacenter than just having a rewarding career.
