The successful candidates will provide excellent customer service, must be motivated and be relied upon to work in a team environment and contribute to the performance of the store. This role is a full-time permanent position - Monday - Friday (no weekends required). What you will be doing <ul> <li>Physical work with some heavy lifting required</li> <li>Loading & unloading of trucks</li> <li>Stock control ensuring all deliveries are accurate and checked as per company policy</li> <li>Ensuring the health and safety of all fellow staff, customers and contractors within their department</li> <li>Serving customers in the yard, helping them with their orders, and providing them with fast, efficient service</li> <li>Picking orders to be sent out on delivery trucks</li> <li>Putting away stock, mainly timber and associated products</li> <li>Providing product advice and identifying opportunities to upsell or add value to customer purchases </li> </ul> What you will bring <ul> <li>Demonstrate a strong customer focus and ability to work in a team environment </li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines</li> <li>Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day</li> <li>An eye for detail and a sense of urgency</li> <li>Current Drivers Licence (essential)</li> <li>Forklift Licence not essential but advantageous</li> </ul> About Us Finlayson’s Timber and Hardware is a 150-year-old, 4th generation, family orientated business who specialize in timber, manufacturing, and hardware for the QLD market.
