This is a fast-paced role at the heart of our operation, supporting scheduling, production, purchasing and customer order administration to ensure materials, paperwork and jobs flow smoothly through the business.</p> <p>If you thrive on organisation, enjoy solving problems and take pride in keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes, we&apos;d love to hear from you.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Working closely with Sales Support, suppliers, production teams and schedulers, you&apos;ll play a critical role in coordinating customer orders, managing purchase orders, preparing production documentation and supporting scheduling activities across our Frame &amp; Truss operations.</p> <p>No two days are the same. One minute you&apos;ll be liaising with suppliers about material deliveries, the next you&apos;ll be updating production paperwork, preparing site packs or assisting with job costing and invoicing support.</p> <p>Your attention to detail and ability to juggle competing priorities will directly contribute to production efficiency, customer satisfaction and on-time delivery performance.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>To succeed in this role, you&apos;ll be a highly organised administrator who enjoys working in a busy operational environment.</p> <p> </p> <p>You&apos;ll bring:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Previous administration experience (minimum 2 years preferred)</li> <li>Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word</li> <li>Excellent time management and prioritisation skills</li> <li>Strong communication and relationship-building abilities</li> <li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li> <li>The ability to work both independently and as part of a team</li> <li>A proactive approach to problem-solving and follow-up</li> <li>Confidence working with multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously</li> </ul> <p>Experience in manufacturing, construction, building supplies, logistics or production environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Process customer orders and production call-ups</li> <li>Raise and manage purchase orders for job-specific materials</li> <li>Coordinate production paperwork, picking slips and dispatch documentation</li> <li>Monitor supplier orders and follow up on shortages, delays and back orders</li> <li>Liaise with Sales Support, suppliers and production teams regarding order updates and scheduling changes</li> <li>Prepare production site packs and manufacturing documentation</li> <li>Assist with job costing, cost tracking and invoicing preparation</li> <li>Maintain accurate records and filing systems</li> <li>Support workflow coordination across multiple Frame &amp; Truss sites</li> <li>Contribute to a safe, efficient and productive workplace</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Why Join K&amp;B?</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>K&amp;B Timber &amp; Hardware is South Australia&apos;s largest Frame &amp; Truss manufacturer and part of the Metcash family.
