Position Overview The Asphalt Equipment Operator is responsible for control and operation multiple types of asphalt paving equipment and laborer duties. <h3> </h3> <h3>Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)</h3> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Ensuring a safe work environment by adhering safety protocols, following instructions, and safety regulations.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Operates various types of asphalt paving equipment including asphalt paver, screed, rollers, mill, broom and skid steer.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Loading, unloading and distributing asphalt and other materials using appropriate equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Set up and tear down equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Perform general labor duties when necessary.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:black;font-size:12.0pt">Other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <h3> </h3> <h3>Qualifications</h3> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
