Apply for the Rail Load Out Operator position today and jumpstart your career with the Texas Materials family!</span></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><span style=""><b><u>Job Description Summary</u></b></span></span></p> <p><span style=""><span style="">Responsible for the loading and railcars and ensuring that material is available to load customer rail cars.</span></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style=""><span style="">Performs inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs of the load-out system and all equipment used to load material at the Marble Falls Plant.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Inspects railcars prior to loading. Inspects for cleanliness and condition of cars such as brakes, holes in railcar and other maintenance issues prior to loading. Cleans railcars as required.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Contacts Manager regarding maintenance issues found.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Verifies car list to tag reader and adds and deletes any railcar changes within the computer system. Assigns cars to correct customer order by verifying products and amount to be loaded with computer system. Loads cars through automated load out system ensuring correct blend of the product is being loaded. Bills the cars out with the railroad using the rail connect system. Updates the shipment master and production report using current reporting methods. Stages or pulls up the loaded cars either to hold cars in the plant or makeready for cars to be picked up by the railroad.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Troubleshoots issues with load out plant and or computer system.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Perform duties that are assigned by Supervisor</span></span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><span style=""><span style=""><b><u>Work & Physical Requirements</u></b></span></span></p> <ul> <li><span style=""><span style="">Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Must pass a pre-employment “Fit for Work” physical.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Must be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Must be willing to work all shifts, days, night and weekends. Overtime is required for this position.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style=""><b>Report to work at the designated schedule: Monday Through Thursday 5PM to 5AM</b></span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Must be able to work overtime when required.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions, extreme heat and cold.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Must have valid driver’s license and meet the qualifications of the fleet safety program.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Must be at least 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to perform job task assignments 8 to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week and occasional weekends.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to lift 30 lbs. ground to shoulder height frequently and up to 75 lbs. ground to waist level height occasionally.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to perform tasks on rough, uneven surfaces and terrain in often wet/damp conditions.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to work and perform tasks at heights from 1 to 100 feet from the ground while utilizing a personal fall arrest harness and lanyard.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Work on stairs, ladders, raised platforms, flat and angled surfaces at varying heights.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Capable of speaking, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, climbing ladder and stairs, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping for periods extending to twelve (12) hours per shift.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Hear with ability to discriminate between sounds and maintain awareness of surroundings</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to operate heavy equipment.</span></span></li> <li><span style=""><span style="">Ability to work safely in a fast paced environment. Ability to work outside, tolerate ambient seasonal temperature extremes, humidity, and generally dry/dusty conditions.
