Job Summary This role is responsible for the overall preventative maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. This role will work from 7:30pm to 6am, but must be flexible to overtime. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Job Responsibilities <ul> <li style=""> Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance to plant structures </li> <li style=""> Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, and special purpose machines as assigned </li> <li style=""> Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and follow through with these repairs to assure proper operation of equipment in a safe, timely manner </li> <li style=""> Install equipment and/or electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning </li> <li style=""> Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools </li> <li style=""> Mig/Stick Welding, torch cutting, and light machining as required </li> <li style=""> Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, change and clean parts/equipment to ensure proper operation </li> <li style=""> Keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition </li> <li style=""> Work occasionally with mobile mechanic as needed </li> <li style=""> Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed </li> </ul> Job Requirements <ul> <li style="">5+ years of experience required</li> <li style="">High school diploma or equivalent experience and training, or comparable education</li> <li style="">Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions</li> <li style="">Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential</li> <li style="">Skilled in the use of hand and power tools</li> <li style="">Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, belting, mechanics, electricity, carpentry</li> <li style="">Knowledge of CMMS system and its function</li> <li style="">Good communication skills</li> <li style="">Able to work with a team or independently</li> <li style="">Full understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance programs</li> <li style="">Familiarity with log out tag out procedures</li> <li style="">Work safely and efficiently to maintain plant support</li> <li style="">Lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects which could weigh up to 80 lbs. each.
