Utilize to adjust designs or create reports.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:normal;background-color:white;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Communicate with supervisors, owners, and contractors to schedule the survey team as needed to meet the demands of projects.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:normal;background-color:white;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Work with managers, crews, and owners to help assure quality delivery of projects when elevation, quantity, or unforeseen issues arise.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-bottom:0.0in;line-height:normal;background-color:white;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Work with different internal departments to meet property survey, quarry layout, or other needs.</li> </ul> <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:normal;background-color:white;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Oversee and monitor survey & grade equipment to ensure that it is properly maintained, calibrated, and fully accounted for. Employees will be held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule.</li> </ul> Qualifications Performance of this position require a mixture of knowledge, skill, experience, and training. Not all listed are required, but different combinations of the following will enable best placement. Education and Experiences • Survey and layout experience within the heavy highway industry. (5 years preferred) • Survey Manger Experience (Preferred) • Proficient computer skills • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred) • Experience and familiarity reviewing and interpreting project plans to determine proper information. • Ohio Licensed Professional Surveyor (Preferred) • Pursuit or award of Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related field (Preferred) • Experience with Trimble Business Center or similar drafting programs. (Preferred) • Experience with Topcon Magnet/Pocket 3D (Preferred) or similar equipment Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
