This position ensures ongoing environmental compliance and fosters best practices in all operations. The position implements environmental policies and practices, supports the development of environmental strategies to meet targets, and deploys tools and systems to monitor performance and strategic outcomes.</span></p> <p> </p> </div> <div> <p><span style=""><strong>What you’ll be contributing:</strong> </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style=""> </span></p> </div> </div> <div> <div> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ensures compliance with all environmental (air, water, and waste) permits and all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Maintains a compliance task list and monitoring system, including deadlines to ensure compliance.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Evaluates site environmental performance, identifies corrective actions through audits, and implements follow-up assessments.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Serves as the local contact with regulatory and community stakeholders relating to environmental matters.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Participates in projects involving environmental issues, including contact with regulatory agencies, and accompanies inspectors during inspections.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Reviews all projects for environmental compliance and obtains necessary permits for executionAssists regulatory agencies by providing information and assistance as required.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Completes, administers, and assists in preparing various reports/renewals.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Coordinates and supervises stack testing activities and reviews/approves all stack testing reports.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Completes, administers, and assists with various surveys and questionnaires from internal and external sources.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Performs audits of the data acquisition system and maintains/administers changes.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Administers the training of plant personnel as needed to implement the compliance management system</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Participates in audits at other Ash Grove facilities</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Travel requirements up to 10%</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. </span></li> </ul> </div> <div> <p><span style=""> </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style=""><strong>To succeed in this position, you will need:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li style=""><span style="">Minimum of a 4 year/Bachelor&apos;s Degree in environmental studies, engineering, natural sciences, law, or related field.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Minimum 7 years of experience in the environmental field, cement, mining, or related industry. </span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Experience working with regulatory agencies.</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to build a team and lead a team</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to perform, plan, organize, and prioritize</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to make decisions and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office products</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local safety and environmental laws and regulations</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Knowledge of environmental programs, policies, and practices applicable to a cement manufacturing environment</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to promote a positive environmental image of the plant in the community</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to work with general policies and objectives</span></li> <li style=""><span style="">Ability to work independently and refer questionable items to the supervisor</span></li> </ul> </div> <div> <p><span style=""> </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style=""><strong>What’s next for you? </strong></span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style=""> </span></p> </div> <div> <p><span style="">We provide stability and advancement opportunities across North America.
