This is a pivotal role at the heart of a major transformation, ensuring a seamless transition from project delivery into business‑as‑usual operations.</p><p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p> <p>As our Cutover Lead, you will take full ownership of the end‑to‑end cutover plan across Data, Technical, and Business workstreams. You’ll bring structure, clarity, and control to a complex programme, ensuring every dependency is understood, every risk is managed, and every stakeholder is aligned.</p> <p>You will:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li><strong>Lead the cutover strategy</strong> — establish the overall approach and project plans across all major streams</li> <li><strong>Define cutover principles</strong> and secure stakeholder agreement</li> <li><strong>Oversee detailed cutover plans</strong> across Data, Technical, and Business areas</li> <li>Develop comprehensive <strong>runbooks, checklists, and decision logs</strong></li> <li>Map <strong>dependencies</strong> and identify <strong>critical path</strong> activities</li> <li>Establish a <strong>cutover governance framework</strong> with clear escalation routes</li> <li>Maintain the <strong>RAID log</strong>, tracking and mitigating risks</li> <li>Provide <strong>command and control</strong> during cutover entry, trials, and exit</li> <li>Build and maintain <strong>rollback and contingency plans</strong></li> <li>Deliver <strong>evidence‑based Go/No‑Go recommendations</strong></li> <li>Coordinate with BAU and Release Management to ensure environment readiness</li> <li>Validate readiness criteria ahead of live cutover</li> <li>Communicate regularly with senior stakeholders and technical leads</li> <li>Ensure appropriate <strong>resource allocation</strong> during cutover windows</li> <li>Work with business continuity teams to minimise operational disruption</li> <li>Facilitate <strong>cutover readiness forums</strong> and decision‑making sessions</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></p> <p>You’ll thrive in this role if you’re calm under pressure, structured in your thinking, and confident leading complex, multi‑disciplinary teams through high‑stakes transitions.</p> <p>We’re looking for:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrable experience leading complex IT or business transformation cutovers</li> <li>A highly successful project management background (Prince2, PMP, Agile or equivalent)</li> <li>Experience with cutover planning tools (Cutover.com, ServiceNow, MS Project, Smartsheet)</li> <li>Hands‑on experience with <strong>SuccessFactors</strong></li> <li>Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills</li> <li>Proven ability to lead with <strong>command and control</strong> during critical periods</li> <li>Experience running cutover rehearsals and embedding lessons learned</li> <li>Understanding of data migration, technical infrastructure, and business change</li> <li>A significant risk and issue management capability</li> <li>Collaborative working style across diverse teams</li> <li>ITIL Foundation (desirable)</li> <li>Experience in construction, building materials, or related industries (desirable)</li> <li>Knowledge of SAP/ERP implementations</li> <li>Change management certification (Prosci, CMI) (desirable)</li> <li>Experience with Agile/DevOps environments</li> <li>Background in 24/7 operational settings</li> <li>Understanding of UK regulatory and compliance requirements</li> <li>Experience with cloud migration and infrastructure cutovers</li> </ul><p><strong>Why join us?</strong></p> <p>You’ll be stepping into a high‑impact role at a defining moment in our transformation journey.
