Pay: $20 an hour, depending on experience **$1500 Sign on Bonus** Job Description Summary The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment in a safety sensitive capacity operating skid steers, loaders, dump trucks, with a traveling crew and portable rock crusher. · Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights such as loaders, bull dozers, trackhoes, used in road, within quarry site or highway construction and paving. · Report any problems to your manager. · Operator will be responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers within a safety sensitive work environment. · When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements. · Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment. · Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite. · Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Foreman. · Perform daily pre–and–post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies. · Assist in training less–experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities. · Perform general labor duties when necessary. <div> Physical & Work Environment Requirements </div> <div> · Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility. </div> <div> · Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height. </div> <div> · Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed. </div> <div> · Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions. </div> <div> · Comfortable working in all weather conditions; exposed to jobsite hazards such as moving machinery, high places, airborne particles, and loud environments. </div> <div> · Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely. </div> <div> · Reasonable accommodations provided as necessary to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. </div> Education/Experience · Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. · Previous related experience in the construction field and/or training.
