Position Overview An Asphalt Plant Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all mechanical equipment within the plant. The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Report any problems to your manager.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Repair all components involved ready Mix processing equipment.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Maintain and operate field service truck.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Follow proper lockout / tag out procedures.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Work on projects with company maintenance crew and contractors.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Provide basic tools for welding and fabrication/hand tools for millwright work.</li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.</li> </ul> Mathematical Skills: <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</li> </ul> Reasoning Ability: <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li style="font-size:10.0pt">Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
