Position Overview This position is a skilled role responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment and commercial trucks to move, load, haul, and deliver aggregates, asphalt, and related materials. Duties include operating loaders within plant sites as well as operating dump trucks, end dumps, and/or belly dumps (with or without pups) to transport materials to residential, commercial, and construction locations. The operator/driver will support materials handling, assist with plant coordination, and ensure proper documentation, safety compliance, and equipment care Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties & Functions) Equipment & Truck Operation <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Operate loaders and other heavy equipment to excavate, move, grade, lift, roll, and load aggregate materials. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Safely and efficiently operate dump trucks, end dumps, and/or belly dumps (with/without pups) including tarping systems. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Maneuver, back, connect, and disconnect pup trailers; doubles/triples a plus. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Conduct pre-operational checks; clean, lubricate, and refill equipment as needed. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Assist Plant Manager with materials handling and equipment usage coordination. </li> </ul> Material Handling & Delivery <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Deliver various aggregates, asphalt, and materials to assigned sites. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Maintain accurate time, material, and delivery records. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Demonstrate knowledge of aggregate types, sizes, and proper handling methods. </li> </ul> Safety & Compliance <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Follow all traffic, safety, and equipment operation rules. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Communicate effectively using a two-way radio system. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Report unsafe conditions; ensure proper use of equipment and materials. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Subject to DOT medical, drug/alcohol testing, and physical agility requirements. </li> </ul> General Work Expectations <ul> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Follow verbal and written instructions. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Prepare written or oral reports as needed. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Work outdoors for extended periods, sometimes in adverse weather conditions. </li> <li style="font-size:10.0pt"> Maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers. </li> </ul> <h2> </h2> Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
