Operates a variety of equipment in asphalt heavy highway construction safely and efficiently to achieve production goals. Performs proper daily inspections, lubrication, cleanings, and maintenance to keep equipment up to operational standards Job Duties: <ul> <li style="">Operating a variety of equipment including Motor graders, excavators, front end loaders, rubbertire backhoes, and dozers</li> <li>Intermediate knowledge and ability to operate in the functions and limits of the type of equipment you are operating.</li> <li>Guide placement of equipment, spotters, and trucks to perform the required task safely and efficiently.</li> <li>Checking grades, yields, and communicating with QC smoothness and densities.</li> <li>Keeps equipment and site housekeeping clean.</li> <li>Assesses daily job and production plans for efficiencies and potential safety concerns.</li> <li style="line-height:normal">Ability to use 3D automated machine controls</li> <li style="line-height:normal">Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment</li> <li style="line-height:normal">Performing other duties on the jobsite when not operating equipment </li> <li style="line-height:normal">Following all safety protocol</li> </ul> Physical Requirements: <ul> <li style="">Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures</li> <li style="">Individually lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs.</li> <li style="">Push and pull weights up to 70 lbs.</li> <li style="">Observe all safety protocol</li> </ul> Experience/Skills Required: <ul> <li style="">Must have minimum of 3 yrs. experience in the road or construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather</li> <li style="">Be able to read, understand and write simple sentences, and perform simple mathematical equations</li> </ul> Equipment Requirements: <ul> <li style="">Must have experience operating at least three or more pieces of asphalt equipment, such as: paver screed, motor grader, front end loader, rubbetire backhoe, excavator, dozer. <ul> <li style="font-weight:bold">Must be able to pass Required DISA testing!</li> <li style="font-weight:bold">Must Have a Valid TWIC Card & Basic Plus Required!</li> </ul> </li> </ul> Disclaimer: This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, the duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and may be amended at anytime as necessitated by business demands at the sole discretion of the Employer.
