POSITION SCOPE The CAD Engineer works closely with Project Managers/Project Engineers to manage and create [as necessary] all documentation associated with projects. This documentation will primarily be created on CAD, and the scope of the job will span all elements of the project life cycle inclusive of [but not limited to] gathering project requirements, preliminary and final design, cost budgeting and accounting, schedule development and control, procurement of equipment and materials, project monitoring and control, and project commissioning and closing. Work will also include updating management of documentation and/or documentation of existing systems. Additionally, the role includes the development and use of 3D CAD models and point cloud (laser scan) data to support brownfield design, layout development, and spatial validation. The CAD Engineer must be able to interpret point cloud models, extract relevant information, and assess spatial constraints, interfaces, and overlays within existing facilities.
