OVERVIEW The Senior Process Engineer provides engineering services for sugar packaging and processing. Focusing on improving current operations and facilitate the growth process efficiency by developing & executing process improvement. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Responsible for developing methods of improving the existing process through automation, process developments and new technologies.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Works with Control Engineers to optimize Process Controls to fine tune process control points to achieve efficiencies and improved quality.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Assist process superintendents and supervisors as needed to troubleshoot issues in the process.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Strives to constantly improve the energy efficiency of the process and the refinery.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Manages process projects and tasks as assigned by the process manager.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Works within all safety, environmental, food safety and food security procedures.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Performs lab testing to support improvements.</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Manage and develop junior Process Engineers</li> </ul> WORK EXPERIENCES <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Five years of Chemical/Process Engineering experience desired; prior knowledge in Food industry or Consumer Product Goods is preferred</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Previous work experience developing or assisting in the development of new processes/procedures</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Prior involvement with supporting multiple capital projects</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Experience supervising employees or leading a project including employees in a unionized work environment is a plus</li> </ul> EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">B.S. degree (or higher) in Engineering (Chemical preferred) or related field from an accredited college/university.</li> </ul> ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES) <ul> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Strong engineering fundamentals with proven abilities and practical experience in the following areas:</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Process optimization</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Data-based decision making using data from different sources</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Lean Six Sigma for triggered events and proactive improvements</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Unit operations, understanding and continuous improvements</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Process measurement and control systems</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Maintenance techniques and systems for reliable operation</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Troubleshooting hardware and processes</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Managing multiple projects, tasks and deadlines</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through on agreed actions</li> <li style="font-size:12.0pt">Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
