OVERVIEW The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all operations of the Warehouse & Shipping department. This person manages approximately 80 employees, salaried and hourly personnel, within a union setting. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Overall responsibility for product shipping by truck</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Optimization of facility layout and inventory management</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Performance monitoring and reporting </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure compliance with safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Departmental budgeting</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensure Warehousing and Shipping areas are audit ready at all times</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manage bulk loading with multiple liquid and dry trucks per day</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Liquid Silo tank management</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manage railcar loading and associated reliability and capital projects</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Downstream Packaging Equipment Reliability and Maintenance</li> <li>This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.</li> </ul> WORK EXPERIENCES <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Minimum 7 years of Distribution and Logistics experience in a high volume operation of which at least 4 years must be in management </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Familiarity with Key Performance Indicators in Logistics / Distribution / Customer Service</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with creating & maintaining various management reports & budgets</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience in Warehouse/Distribution Center lay-outs</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Accomplished results in Warehouse/Distribution Center performance improvement</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Supervision experience in a union environment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Consumer Product Goods/ Retail Distribution industry experience is a plus</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Demonstrated Experience with SAP preferred </li> </ul> EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related area of study</li> </ul> SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manages staff comprised of 4 supervisors and 70+ hourly employees</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ensures Labor Contract is followed by all employees, and reports any potential violation</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Review performance for salaried employees and identify training needs</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Review and issue disciplinary measures according to the Labor Contract and Company Policy</li> </ul> The pay range for this position is below.
