The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials between production cells and departments to guarantee accurate and timely execution of orders and to satisfy Customers’ needs. As part of this effort, the production planner creates and distributes production schedules; confers with other departments to determine progress of work and completion dates and reviews inventory levels and participates in resolving production problems. The Production Planner keeps Customer Service updated on the completion status of Sales Orders and confirms lead time for potential and actual sales orders.
