You resolve complex engineering challenges related to the production of parts and products. You plan, install, and maintain new capital equipment and processes, applying advanced engineering principles and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.</span></div></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Duties & Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Manages multiple engineering projects simultaneously with limited supervision within defined timelines.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Manages entire life cycle of assigned capital projects including: developing project specifications, working with suppliers and purchasing to gather quotes/estimates, determining budget requirements, completing and submitting decision templates for management approval, kicking off project, completing design review, managing build, running-off new equipment, and validating new equipment once delivered to STIHL Inc. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Researches and designs new methodologies and techniques to improve quality of product, error proofing, speed of production and cost-effectiveness of production methods. Recommends and implements methods, techniques and technologies to reduce downtime and improve quality. </span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Creates engineering designs and builds.
