<p>The HPC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project.</p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>Procurement Manager</strong><br><strong>Wilson James</strong><br><strong>Hinkley Point C</strong></p> <p><br>We're looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to lead the day-to-day procurement activity of the site operation. The successful applicant will be expediting purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers and distributors, striving for commercially advantageous positions while devising a complete effective procurement strategy.</p> <p><br><strong>Main Duties:</strong></p> <p><br>Managing procurement for the site operation, becoming the key interface with the individual operational team leads<br>Supporting the Commercial Team with the monthly reviewing of supplier applications<br>Creating requisitions and receipting orders through the SAP system<br>Identifying, evaluating, qualifying and developing the supply chain to meet the current and changing business<br>Managing and monitoring supplier performance across various KPIs<br>Identifying cost-saving and value-adding opportunities throughout the supply chain<br>Assisting with client audits on purchasing<br>Providing cost advice to the client and team<br>Coordinating with the Commercial Team to find areas for cost saving or increased efficiency<br>Ensuring all procurement documentation are up to date, current and in accordance with good practice, including a review of previous documentation.</p> <p><br><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <p><br>CITB HS&E Managers and Professionals certificate<br>Extensive experience in a procurement or supply chain role, experience within the construction industry would be advantageous<br>A high standard of procurement and supply chain management ability<br>Excellent negotiation skills<br>Strong administrative/co-ordination experience within a fast-paced, environment dealing with multiple and complex administrative processes<br>Ability to work to tight deadlines, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail<br>A natural ability to build relationships quickly, with strong written and verbal communications<br>Excellent IT capabilities spanning MS Office (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel), internet searching and capacity to swiftly pick up bespoke IT systems and tools<br>A working knowledge of SAP would be desirable, but is not essential.</p> <p><br><strong>Benefits:</strong></p> <p><br>Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 9-day fortnight pattern Monday to Friday one week, Monday to Thursday the next.
