This project is the European Union's answer to the pressing challenges of tomorrow to provide secure connectivity services and enhanced communication capacities to the EU and its Member States as well as to governmental users, private companies and European citizens while ensuring high-speed internet broadband to cope with connectivity dead zones. SES – together with other consortium partners and core members – was selected by European Commission to build and to operate the IRIS² multi-orbit satellite constellation. The IRIS² team enters the next project phase and there is a strong need for support for all the activities around service provisioning and products that the system can offer in the future. Role description summary We are looking for a highly capable and experienced IVV Engineer to support the integration, verification, validation, and end-to-end testing of 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) solutions. This role is focused on validating the interoperability and performance of complex multi-domain systems spanning 5G Core, NTN-enabled Radio Access Network, satellite access segments, transport networks, virtualized infrastructure, and service platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in system integration and end-to-end test activities across the 5G NTN ecosystem, ensuring that all network functions, interfaces, and operational workflows perform as expected under nominal and non-nominal conditions. The role includes support for test environment setup, platform integration, test execution, defect investigation, interface validation, and system-level acceptance. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in telecom system integration and testing, with a strong understanding of 5G architecture, NTN concepts, multi-vendor interoperability, and end-to-end validation methodologies. Hands-on experience with virtualized platforms, Kubernetes-based deployments, interface testing, automation frameworks, CI/CD/CT environments, as well as 5G satellite communications and Flatsat Engineering Model environments, is highly desirable. The candidate will also contribute to test strategy development, regression validation, traceability, and continual improvement of IVV processes and tools.
