Assistant Plant Controller Glanbia Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life’s journey The Opportunity This position is part of the Glanbia Nutritionals Operations Finance team for cheese and whey, located in the Gooding manufacturing plant office. Our team is responsible for operational performance reporting, cost reporting, planning and analysis for manufacturing plants in Idaho. This position will regularly have the opportunity to collaborate across multiple departments in the Gooding facility as well as manufacturing sites across Idaho. Essential Functions <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Provides weekly and monthly analysis for plant performance, including whey yield analysis, production reporting and plant loss reporting.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Serve as a trusted business partner on the Gooding leadership team. The Gooding Assistant Plant Controller works closely with the plant managerial team to provide relevant analytical support, insight, and influence in operations decision making. This includes providing interpretation and education of complex financial and operational processes/model to various departmental leaders.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Responsible for monitoring compliance regarding a range of procedures and internal controls relating to plant activity.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Prepare weekly and monthly cost analysis for various areas.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Assists with plant inventory control for raw material, ingredients, packaging and finished goods.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Assist with plant planning processes, including preparation of variance analysis and commentary.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Assist with standardization of reporting and analysis across manufacturing locations.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Oversee financial aspects of all plant operations including budgeting and forecasting.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Review work and test for reasonableness; identify questionable results and investigate root cause.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Cross-train with other coworkers, collaborate and share learnings across the team.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Responsible for supervision and development of accounting staff.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Responsible for capital expenditure project accounting including ROI analysis, project spend vs. plan, and maintaining the site fixed asset registry.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Responsible for supervision and development of accounting staff, including execution of salaried and salaried non-exempt PDP processes and continuous performance feedback.</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Perform ad hoc reporting, analysis and trending as required</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Participates in special projects or action teams</li> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px"> </li> </ul> Qualifications <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin-right:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif;margin-left:0.0px">Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years related experience.
