REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor HOURS: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday and Fridays, as needed SUMMARY: Responsible for production, quality and safety standards as they relate to upholstering and assembling fabric and leather furniture components. What you’ll be doing: <ul> <li>Includes the following: Other duties may be assigned….</li> <li>Use of job specific related hand tools, staple gun, staple puller.</li> <li>Occasionally required to adhere wood to foam, and fabric to foam, using water based adhesive</li> <li>Pull and stretch fabrics appropriately to achieve a wrinkle free finish on complex upholstery forms</li> <li>Knowledge and experience with fabrics, vinyls, and leathers a plus</li> <li>Meet production schedules.</li> <li>Interprets specifications, instructions and job orders.</li> <li>Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and safety methods</li> <li>Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency.</li> <li>Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists team members in solving work problems.</li> <li>Initiates or suggests plans to motivate team members to achieve work goals.</li> <li>Maintains time and production records.</li> <li>Inspect production materials.</li> <li>Confers with other team members to meet production schedules.</li> <li>Responsible for the training and development of new and current employees working on the product line.</li> <li>Responsible for pursuing further training opportunities for one's own self advancement.</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring specified quality verifications and procedures are followed and quality parts are produced.</li> <li>Coordinate with members of the team to operate the cell most efficiently.</li> <li>Responsible for understanding non-conforming product procedure.</li> <li>Ensure all safety standards are being followed and unsafe acts or conditions are reported.</li> <li>Maintain the work area’s cleanliness and organization</li> <li>Responsible for filling out required paperwork.</li> <li>Responsible for completion and accuracy of cycle counts.</li> <li>Ensure preventive maintenance is performed as required.</li> <li>Communicate quality concerns/issues with supervisor, engineering and materials</li> </ul> To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
