As a Vice President of Operations, you will have the opportunity to oversee and improve manufacturing operations for the Flooring Products division of Leggett & Platt. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by defining and implementing manufacturing strategy, structure, and processes. So, what will you be doing as a VP of Manufacturing? <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Lead all Flooring Products manufacturing operations with full P&L responsibility.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Maintain a working knowledge of all operational phases across the division.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, supply/demand planning, engineering, safety, and quality teams to develop scalable product and service solutions.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Oversee manufacturing projects, including planning, strategy, and prioritization.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Promote a strong safety culture by making safety a top priority in daily operations and encouraging safe practices at every level. </li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Coordinate with Regional Management & Branch Management to optimize infrastructure and meet customer requirements across all locations.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Provide input to the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting process and P&L responsibilities.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Lead efforts to automate processes and use technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across operations.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Review and approve capital expenditure projects throughout the division.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to assess project feasibility.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Monitor key performance indicators and proactively resolve efficiency changes.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Provide operational support across the business.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Interview, hire, train, and mentor the operations management team.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Inspire and delegate effectively to exceed company goals.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 10.0pt 0.0px;line-height:115%">Travel regularly to support operational oversight, team engagement, and strategic initiatives.</li> </ul> To be successful in this role, you’ll need: <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">15+ years of progressive management experience in operations or related field. </li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Multi team management experience.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Strong P&L ownership experience.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Expertise in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Knowledge of Materials Management, Quality Systems, Industrial Engineering, Time Studies, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Plant Engineering.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices within a dynamic manufacturing environment.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Demonstrated project and budget management skills.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;line-height:115%">Ability to set strategic direction and lead process improvement initiatives.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 10.0pt 0.0px;line-height:115%">Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.</li> </ul> What to Do Next Now that you’ve had a chance to learn more about us, what are you waiting for!
