<p>For the Vienna office, we are looking for a Statistics & Modelling Consultant (m/f/d).</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Apply Novel Data Science & Modelling Techniques in Biopharma.</strong></p> <p>As an engaged and innovation-oriented consultant, you will analyze and optimize customer biotechnological processes with a highly qualified and enthusiastic team. You will use cutting edge statistics and data science techniques to support biopharmaceutical clients in order to develop, characterize, validate, and manufacture novel biotherapeutics. You will actively engage new technologies and applications to continuously provide customers with innovative approaches to their challenges. </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Workplace will be Vienna with homeoffice possibility (not fully remote).</strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <h2><strong>Your role in our team</strong></h2> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Perform data analysis with state-of-the-art approaches using advanced statistical and mathematical models using Python packages</li> <li>Help our clients to speed up process development and increase manufacturing efficiency using modelling approaches</li> <li>Propose statistically underpinned experimental designs for process development and process characterization</li> <li>Continuously seek out new and innovative approaches to solving problems in the domain</li> <li>Contribute to large projects within the industry, reporting to a Project Lead and reviewing all findings for technical rigor and accuracy</li> <li>Interpret, present, and communicate results, suggestions, and solutions to clients</li> <li>Assume visibility on large projects within the industry / Presentations before industry leaders</li> <li>Business development: potential to attend conferences and industry gatherings aimed towards expanding network</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <h2><strong>Your profile</strong></h2> <p> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Master’s degree and/or PhD</strong> with a focus on life sciences, bioprocess engineering, or statistics / data science</li> <li>Interest or <strong>experience in biotech/bioprocess engineering</strong></li> <li>Interest in interpreting and <strong>presenting statistical results to clients</strong></li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>Python</strong> i.r.t. data contextualization, visualization, and <strong>statistical</strong> analysis, and mathematical modelling (differentail euqations)</li> <li><strong>Experience with object-oriented programming</strong></li> <li>Experience in interpretation of readouts of statistical analysis, such as regression analysis, ANOVA, design of experiments is a plus</li> <li>Familiarity with ordinary and partial differntial equations applied to <strong>chemical engineering problem</strong> is a plus</li> <li>Proficient business English and preferably proficient business German</li> <li>Team-oriented disposition / comfortable working with an interdisciplinary team (Biotechnologists, Computer Scientists, Statisticians)</li> <li>Highly autonomous and results oriented in tight timelines</li> </ul> <h2> </h2> <p> </p> <h2><strong>Your benefits</strong></h2> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Flexible working hours</li> <li>Flat hierarchies and efficient internal communication</li> <li>Being part of internationally growing team</li> <li>Daily meal allowance of EUR 8.00</li> <li>Annual ticket of "Wiener Linien / VOR"</li> <li>Internal and external training and further development opportunities</li> <li>Nice office and modern working atmosphere in the heart of Vienna</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>We offer an attractive salary package in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies. We are legally obliged to state that the minimum salary for this position refers to the applicable collective agreement, which is EUR 40.000,00 p.a. (based on full-time).
