Lifeguards are the key to ensuring a safe environment for our customers and are essential to the successful running of our aquatic facilities. Pool lifeguards are observant, patient, and good with people. Their skill set means they have the confidence to act in a quick, responsible, and calm way. As a Lifeguard you are responsible for: <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Providing a safe environment through proactive supervision and positive interaction with customers.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Educating and enforcing pool rules.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Responding to any First Aid emergencies.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Ensuring our pool and the surrounding areas are always clean.</li> </ul> We are looking to fill one permanent part-time role. To work as a pool lifeguard in New Zealand, you will need to hold a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC). The first step in becoming a lifeguard for Auckland Council is to be able to pass this swim test.
