By joining us, you don’t just become part of our success story; you help shape the future and continue our rich legacy that started back in 1874.</span></p> <p> </p> <p class="prefix-job-title"><span style="color:#706f6f"><strong>Join us as a</strong></span></p> <h1 class="job-title"><span style="color:#dc0000;font-size:28.0px">Lift Installation Engineer- Hertfordshire </span></h1> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color:dimgray">We are recruiting for a Lift Installation Engineer to cover the Hertfordshire area,t he successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality installation work and completing handovers to the required standards. </span></p> <p> </p> <div id="jobcontent" style="width:100%"> <div class="custom-tasks"> <h4 style="font-size:14.0px"><strong>Your main responsibilities</strong></h4> <div style="color:#706f6f;font-size:14.0px"><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Installing lift/escalator Well and Ancillary Equipment in accordance with approved procedures by selecting appropriate tools and equipment based on the operations to be performed and the equipment to be installed</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Installing Traction Equipment in accordance with approved procedures by selecting appropriate tools and equipment. Installation will require the siting, assembly, fitting, alignment, and adjustment of the lift/escalator equipment</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Installing Lift Ropes (traction media) and adjust in accordance with approved procedures. The applicant will be required to have install suspension, safety and governor ropes to new or reconstructed lift equipment</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Installation of Lift Doors and Frames in accordance with approved procedures. The doors and frames to be installed include manual and power-operated solid sliding doors, multi-leaf doors, hinged doors, collapsible gates, shutter gates and bi-parting doors and shutters, door operators and safety devices for new or reconstructed lift equipment</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Checking and Setting the Lift/escalator Installation in accordance with approved procedures. The checks to be carried out include the final checks and adjustments to the operation of lift/escalator installations prior to final test and commissioning</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Conducting site surveys</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Keeping the supervisor informed regarding the progress of work, hours spent and any non-compliance</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Staying in communication with the customer and the supervisor to ensure the satisfaction of the customer needs</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to its safety management system</span></li> </ul> </div> </div> <div class="custom-requirements"> <h4 style="font-size:14.0px"><strong>What you bring</strong></h4> <div style="color:#706f6f;font-size:14.0px"><ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator Installation or equivalent or mechanically or electrically qualified</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Possession of a relevant/valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Advanced product and Installation knowledge/experience</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The ability to work independently with a flexible approach</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good communication skills at different levels (Client/Installation Managers/SAIS Inspectors)</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Good Punctuality</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Manual dexterity - Requires the use of hands, arms and feet for repetitive lifting;
