Learn more: <a href="https://www.jti.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">jti.com</a> Credit and Collections Manager- Tanzania What this position is about – Purpose This position provides strong day-to-day financial oversight of Credit and Collection processes supporting the Company's nationwide Sales operations across 16 branch locations.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures governing route settlements, payment processing, credit allocations, and credit security. The objective of the role is to oversee the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process, provide visibility on branch performance and KPI compliance, and escalate issues to management in a timely manner to minimize the Company's risk exposure. The successful candidate will bring energy, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset, with a strong focus on compliance, effective controls, and collaborative leadership across geographically dispersed teams. What will you do - Responsibilities: <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Oversee customer master data, due diligence, documentation, KYC certification, account setup, customer changes, and PFC exceptions, ensuring accurate records and appropriate credit risk assessment.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Manage credit limits in line with approved country limits, policies, procedures, and customer risk profiles, securing required approvals, strengthening AR security coverage, and delivering meaningful KPI and management reporting.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Monitor collections, deposits, receivables aging, overdue escalations, route settlements, reconciliations, and documentation accuracy, coordinating with Legal and external debt collectors were required.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Optimize TME system controls, leverage analytics and AI tools to identify anomalies, enhance controls, drive continuous improvement, and automate manual reporting.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Maintain and communicate credit and branch accounting policies, ensure timely execution of O2C JSOX controls, and establish effective governance and escalation protocols across Finance and Sales.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Lead, develop, motivate, and hold direct and indirect teams accountable, promoting policy awareness, segregation of duties, and effective collaboration across Branch, GBS, and HQ teams, with travel to branch locations as required.</li> </ul> Whom are we looking for – Requirements: <ul style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">CPA qualifications are highly desirable.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Minimum 5 years' experience in FMCG and/or Banking in a managerial role.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Proven experience leading and developing large teams.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Fluent in English and Swahili.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">High integrity, strong compliance mindset, and willingness to challenge the status quo.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Strong drive for organizational change and continuous improvement.</li> <li style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 0.0in 0.0px;font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif">Versatile leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage remote teams.</li> </ul> Are you ready to join us?
