As Business Area Controller, you will act as a key business partner and the right hand of the Business Area Finance Director, supporting two business units within Corbion: Nutrition & Pharma and Preservation. In this senior, hands-on role, you drive value creation by translating financial and operational data into clear insights that support strategic and commercial decision-making. You operate close to the business, working on topics such as pricing, forecasting, innovation and investment business cases, and scenario analyses based on rapidly changing market conditions. The role requires a high level of autonomy, versatility and the ability to challenge the business while remaining a constructive and trusted partner. Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Act as a strategic business partner to the Business Area Finance Director, supporting decision-making across two business units.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Lead and support financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and long-term strategic planning cycles in line with Corbion’s multi-year strategy.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Develop, review and challenge complex business cases for innovation projects, pricing initiatives, investments and strategic initiatives.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Drive top-line performance management, focusing on volumes, net sales, net selling price, margins and value drivers.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, market developments and pipeline health; proactively identify risks, opportunities and deviations.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Prepare and present financial insights and management reports, translating complex analyses into clear and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Work closely with sales, product management, business development and regional teams to support commercial and operational decisions.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting and performance management.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Support Corbion’s data and reporting transformation initiatives by contributing financial expertise and insights.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies and governance standards.</li> </ul> You bring <ul> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">8 years+ of relevant experience in business controlling, FP&A or financial business partnering.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and challenging business cases.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environment and switch quickly between topics and priorities.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Solid understanding of commercial drivers such as pricing, sales performance and pipeline management.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Experience translating financial data into insights for senior management and non-financial stakeholders.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities in a multinational environment.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Fluent English (Dutch is considered a plus).</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Experience in a manufacturing and/or supply-chain-driven environment is a strong advantage.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Exposure to global or regional stakeholder landscapes is preferred.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Experience with ERP and BI environments (e.g. SAP S/4HANA, BI tools, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI) is a plus.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.</li> </ul> What we offer <ul> <li style="color:darkmagenta">A highly visible and impactful business controller role with direct exposure to senior leadership.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">Broad scope and ownership, with the opportunity to influence strategic, commercial and operational decisions.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">A dynamic, international working environment with room for initiative, creativity and continuous improvement.</li> <li style="color:darkmagenta">The opportunity to further develop as a senior finance business partner and build deep understanding of Corbion’s business.</li> </ul> About Corbion Corbion is a sustainable ingredients company dedicated to preserving what matters, including food and food production, health, and the planet.
