This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, DevOps, etc.) to ensure the system aligns with business goals and technical requirements.</p> <p> </p> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>Job Duties & Accountabilities:</strong></h2> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Design our solution such that it meets modern security requirements.</li> <li>Identify and troubleshoot issues, and use that information to optimize our designs.</li> <li>Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to build our products.</li> <li>Engage with our security officer, our customers’ IT staff, our local teams and product managers to define secure solutions.</li> <li>Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture decisions, deployment strategies, and technical guidelines.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2> </h2> <h2><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h2> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).</li> <li><strong>Minimum</strong> 5 years of experience in software architecture, with at least 3 years focused on security.</li> <li>Deep understanding of software security best practices, standards and protocols, including (m)TLS, OIDC, OAuth2.0, Single Sign-on</li> <li>Excellent communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.</li> <li>Experience in managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time.</li> <li>Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2><strong>Assets (optional but beneficial):</strong></h2> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>You are a certified AWS Solutions Architect.</li> <li>Experience with designing medical software.</li> <li>Experience with Keycloak/RH-SSO, LDAP, SMART on FHIR,</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Experience with Java/J2EE/Spring.</li> <li>Experience as System or Solution Architect in SAFe.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2><strong>Location:<br><br></strong></h2> <p>You can work from one of the following locations: Waterloo (Canada) or Ghent (Belgium) or Mortsel (Belgium) or Vienna (Austria)</p><p> </p> <p> </p> <p><span style="">We offer a rewarding career in a field that impacts lives, the opportunity to work with a talented and committed team of individuals, training and career development programs, and a competitive compensation and benefits package.
